He would be foolish not to enact his plans for major change as soon as he gets the chance. The problem is that by the time he gets ousted some of the changes may not be so easy to reverse. Supreme court justices are hard to remove. Social security, though enacted by another many years ago, has proven to be hard to remove or even to modify as to not be a ponzi scheme despite the fact that it is failing. The fairness doctrine perpetuates itself since opposition to it is silenced after it becomes law. And non-secret voting allows unions to be coercive thus strengthening their hold and ability to keep non-secret voting.
