OK so republicans...please tell me how with your we must pay down the Debt mantra....not paying for these tax cuts with any reduction in spending....will reduce the debt....Keep in mind, saying it will stimulate the econ and bring in more revenue....has never ever happened.....

SO why is it fiscaly responsible to reduce taxed for the people least likey to spend it...provide no stimulus.....and no cuts in programs to pay for it....

I think Ronny Raygun played this vodoo....what did it give us...DEBT

Its nice you pretend to care, but you don't really...Debt reduction is a talking point and a ends to a means...not something you seem to really want

But, you see, reducing taxes will increase revenues, that is, if you stick the pin in the doll just right and repeat the incantation just so.

And, if it results in more debt, just blame "liberals."

It's a great way to avoid responsibility.

Here you see the endless economic ignorance of leftwingers. The keynesian notion that you have high taxes in a recession and that that will cause the economy to recovers is dunderheaded. When wealthy people don't get their money plundered by the government, the money stays in the hands of the the most productive members of society, instead of dimwitted government bureaucrats. The rich save or invest their money, both of which actions provide capital for business expansion and hiring. And now that there is a check on the leftwing's two year spree of devastating policies every five minutes, entrepreneurs who have lost some of their fear and uncertainty due to that big risk factor may start hiring people.

also a great way to ignore 1992-2000...where debt went down...and 2000-20008 when spending went up, income down...debt up....

and ignore that what republicans want to do now, is just what they did in the 80's and 2000's to increase debt....

But if you just yell Liberal realy loud...you don't need facts anymore!

thats why the tax cut would have stayed for all income under 250,000...to make sure econ stays going positive...even if to slowly,

Of course was not the stated ( no it was no the real one) goal of the tax cut in the fist place to "create jobs" under Bush...of course we lost jobs under Bush...and the Econ tanked under Bush...and debt went up...under Bush....so clearly doing the same thing as Bush did now....will lead to different outcome right?

The Rich are saving money...this hurts the Economy..not helps...what econ class did you take that saving money and not spending it...helps a econ?

Investing the money...giving Millionaires and Billionaires...almost a trillion dollars ( I believe its listed as .7 trillion in cost) ...meaning unless those people invest so much we gain .7 Trillion in Revenue ...we just built more
Debt....and fact is...they are not investing under the same tax rate now...

Well said.

Why do libs persist with their kooky belief that higher taxes will reduce the deficit? It has been known for decades that increasing tax rates does not always increase revenue to the Treasury. Total tax revenue as a percentage of GDP has been constant for decades. What libs fail to recognize is that people will change their behavior to avoid taxes.

This is another in the long list of proofs of liberals mental illness. The facts are known, yet they refuse to accept the facts because they much prefer to believe their kooky ideology.

whats normal is a hard core conservative...yelling about debt....but supporting policy that increase debt, while only helping the very rich. Then again who can be shocked, your namesake was a master of it.

Its a simple question ...if you are for for less debt...then you can't be for tax cuts and not paying for them...

taxes in the 90's....higher...budget....surplus
Taxes in the 2000's...lower....debt...Increased

If Obamas orig tax idea of tax rate going back to Clinton tax rate for all income over 250,000 was to have been passed...number of people who would increase to more then 90's...Zero...number lower ....all...as they would still have tax break on first 250,000.

also thats not counting tax breaks in the Stimuls package...that was about 40% tax breaks...but yet republicans bash still.

Where does one begin with such a flawed statement? I just do not have the patience any more for children (libs).

Help somebody???

People investing money hurts the economy? :D

(Rick, having his fav fantasy: leftwingers are all locked up in a prison. They can't get out, much less near a voting machine, until they get an "A" on a periodically-offered comprehensive economics 101 exam. :p)

pay attention

if you give millionairs...almost a trillion dollars....unless that investment somehow breaks all known economic trends...it will not pay for itself and lead to more then a trillion dollars in grown...

when you spend a trillion
and get back less then that
its called

DEBT

Investment means you put in a trillion you get back 1.5 trillion...that a investment....Thats not going to happen...

He cant as you cant argue that the best way to reduce debt, is to make more of it for the long term when you can't even show it will produce growth at all even short term.

Your economics knowledge is equal to mine when I was about eight years old. :D Notice how in the leftwing brain "not plundering" translates to 'giving".
