Not really. Russia is allowed to put down terrorists and freedom fighters too. And especially in a situation where Ossetia wants to break away and go with Russia. Besides, the US is too busy in Iraq, Afghanistan, and making plans for Iran when they get finished in the first two.

Forget it and enjoy the olympics!

Depends on if it spreads into Georgia or not.

There's no reason this dispute should have come to blows.

Does Georgia have any solid reason to retain this South Ossetia place?

Georgia military started murdering Ossetians and Russia stepped in to stop it. Now Russia has an excuse to do some bigtime housecleaning in Georgia.

All the war pictures and rhetoric on Fox news will convince americans that Russia are the bad guys but nobody really cares the fu-k about what they think in this conflict.

With Russia these days, they setting up the attacks to use as a excuse to step in would not be out of the realm to me. Anyone here Read Blowing Up Russia buy Yuri Felshtinskyand Alexander Litvinenko ( aka guy who was killed for talking by the Russian KGB (( new names dont change its the same old KGB)) Read it, its scary stuff.

Sure Russia wants Georgia and sure Russia has carried this to the extreme with attacks on Georgia proper now.

But we also hear of some acknowledgement that Georgia is still not ready to pull in it's horns and withdraw completely. Is Georgia going to continue in the hope that the US will step in? It seems so but it also seems that there is little possibility of the US interfering now in Russia's affairs. Russia will not back down and the US knows that.
