sure, in theory.

of course, "right" and "wrong" are often subjective, so whether one person's "right" should prevail over their "wrong' is a different situation.

for example. being gay was "wrong" (according to society and leaders since forever) and they were persecuted in this country by "loving christians", but that persecution was clearly wrong, but it prevailed for a long long time, sadly.
