..........do I detect a certain amount of cynisism in your post....Like the US I suspect, the UK Government is borrowing vast sums of money for spending on....on... well god knows what really! The Banks that the tax payers have bailed out (and now own) are being virually instructed to increase loans to the public and busniness in order to "oil the cogs of the economy" but, well..... forgive my dimwittedness but wasn't it debt and borrowing that got us in the mess in the first place?
