The biggest lie democrats keep pandering to their ignorant supporters is that the rich are robbing from the poor in the US. While it may be true that many rich Americans including democrats and republicans do rob from others, the democrats have never jacked up taxes on the rich themselves because that would hurt themselves and their supporters. Nevertheless, the tax code has always taxed the rich at much higher rates than the poor.
