I truly do not want to be cruel or insensitive. I've no idea of your family's personal details and situation. But I will also not be constrained to accept your assessments on face value.
You claim it is because of George Bush. How exactly is that the case? You use the word recession repeatedly, but using a word does not make it accurate. You mention that your dad lost his weekly bonus. Bonuses and overtime are great things to have, but it's not good financial practice to budget on the assumption they will continue.
I hope for the best for your dad and his job. However, please share your sources of Bush expressing high hopes to get us out of a recession. And please share the facts your doubts are based upon. Difficult times require clear thought and positive decision making.
Your claims of culpability for Republican Presidents is over simplistic and patently false. You do a grave injustice to Americans who went through it to compare our lives today with the Great Depression.
You are welcome to vote as you wish. If you want to have Obama, or any Liberal as President, take a good hard look at Michigan. What Gov. Granholm has done for the state here is what a Liberal will do for the country. The socialistic themes of Liberalism are fatally flawed, and no grandiose hyperbole for their implementation and expansion will change that. And THAT, my dear, is something this country simply cannot afford.
