This is great news. Another progressive greasy R loses in the primary to a tea party candidate. This should scare the many scummy progressives who infest our Congress.

If only Johnny McCant would also have lost in the primary.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Backed by the Tea Party Express and Sarah Palin, a little-known conservative lawyer from Alaska became the latest newcomer to the national political stage to take down an incumbent in 2010.

In arguably the biggest political upset of the year, Joe Miller claimed the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate when incumbent GOP Sen. Lisa Murkowski conceded Tuesday evening. Murkowski gave up after failing to gain much ground in an count of outstanding absentee ballots.

I guess she is not nearly as hated in her own state as people have reported :)

well she is what like 1 for 15 or something on picking winners now?

But I like how you give her the credit, not the guy who won...

I think she has better odds than that. I think McCain owes her a big one for her endorsing him.

There are others, scott brown. I think there is one maybe two she endorsed that did not get it. So you got it backwards there :)

Also what is important about this Alaska one is that we are lead to believe people in Alaska do not like her but she took this no body who was way behind just days before and with a couple of appearances at events and a robo call the guy wins a seasoned incumbent.

But I am not shocked at your post, its very typical :)

Unless this guy wins, it will be a victory for the Democratic party courtesy of the Tea Party. Republicans do not need to blowing winnable seats.

I would rather lose to a Dem then keep a progressive R in office who continually votes for the socialist sh*t the Dems always promote.

Bush was a progressive, yet most Americans think he was a conservative just because he was an R. This policy of keeping progressive Rs in office rather than electing Ds resulted in the election of a Marxist to the presidency.

The American people by a vast majority do not want socialism. They will turn away from the Communist Party of America (D party) and back to conservative policies. But, they must be given alternatives. Not more of the same.

What big issues did you have a beef over with Senator Murkowski?

She is pro baby murder, voted for TARP, agrees with Obummer's EPA on climate change....is that enough?

This victory by Joe Miller has to scare all the stinking progressives in congress. That alone is sufficient for me.

We need a clear distinction in all races. The Dems nominate commies and the Rs must nominate real conservatives. The distinction will be clear to thinking Americans...Liberty or Tyranny.

We must put the proverbial dagger into the heart of liberalism once and for all.

She is pro baby murder

That is quite misleading. She has been ranked very low by groups by NARAL.

voted for TARP

Along with what, 32 other Republican Senators and 65 or so House members?

agrees with Obummer's EPA on climate change....is that enough?

In what manner? She is on record denying that humans are responsible for climate change.

Sufficient enough to let a D win the seat? Let us hope that does not occur.

Not all Dems are communists, and not all Republicans agree on what a "real" conservative is. That is something we as a party need to realize.

We must put the proverbial dagger into the heart of liberalism once and for all.

Politics is never that easy.

Agreed and I know I am fighting an uphill battle since most of the R party is infected with progressives. But, dumping a few in the primaries should have a dramatic effect on the ones still in power.

Again, IMO we have a Marxist in the WH because we elected foolish progressive Rs. Dump them all and if Ds win, oh well. We know that Ds will f-things up and ultimately the public will kick their asses out as they are now doing.
