If you take a close look at China, you will see that China is no longer "Communist".  Without any rhetoric or fanfare, with few noticing, they quickly changed from a Communist/socialist country to one of "free enterprise" in which the faithful communist party leaders evolved into the privileged corporate giants while still keeping the totalitarian police structure intact. 


The 66% that you state are living in poverty, are in poverty for the same reason that the U.S. has many people living in poverty...unchecked capitalism.
