I think you are being much too kind when it comes to our leftist politicians and their intentions. I find it hard to believe they are incapable of reason. Big Ears is certainly not a dumb man. He must know the welfare state has been a failure, yet he persists to fund it even more and even dumped Clinton's reforms. He may think the solution is to spend more on welfare, to make it work, which many would consider foolish. To Cruella's point, we have to wonder about the power elite's intentions. There are those who believe their real endgame is to irreparably destroy America, so as to remake it into a socialist paradise (aka shit-hole).
