Galileo's arrest is largely misunderstood and spun to reflect an alternate reality. Everyone adjusted their view about the movements of the planets. Christians were hardly alone and since they largely held their original view based on the wrong science of the time they were right to change. Creationism was a practical theory until a better one came along. That better theory though is not evolution as taught in dogmatic universities but is a view that understands that God created the world and used various methods including changes in creatures' DNA. It is a good thing that Christians are open minded enough to be able to change their views just as their peers in science do. Their never really was a literal interpretation to be ditched. Christians always knew that there was much poetry and prose and metaphor and allegory...in the bible. Hi to everyone! I have not been on here recently. Life has been very busy and it can be difficult to log on knowing that once I do if I don't get to respond to every thread in which I have subscribed then when I log off I will lose my place. My mother has recently been diagnosed with an incurable cancer and my family has been busy helping Mom and Dad. Recently my son was sick so that meant that we could not go to my mom's and that means that I now have a bit more time to be here. I see there is a new format. Still figuring out how it works. Hope you all have been doing well!!
