YOUR definition of "socialist" has NOTHING to do with social democracy as it is practice in the greatest majority of countries! You confuse Socialism and Communism. . .which demonstrates how ignorant you are about the subject.
I don't believe there is a Marxian communist state in existance. What you have are an assortment of socialist states at various steps on the path.

Nope! They are certainly NOT expert in Social democracy. And the fact that you would state such a thing is the perfect demonstration that you have NO idea of what social democracies are all about.
They are actually closer to Capitalism than they are to Communism. . . because they are MIXED economies (which promote enterpreneurship and private enterprise, but provide generous safety nets to balance the evils of run away capitalism).

That was originally the biggest selling point for Fascism... It was touted as the perfect balance of Capitalism and Communism. Social Democracies are are nothing more than Liberalized Fascism where rather than using force of arms to coerce a populace into submission, you use the government's monopoly on the legal use of force to make non compliance illegal and render punishment to those who do not capitulate to your demands.

The mistake that many Americans make is to call any state which has a government that taxes the population and then redistributes the money at all a socialist state
This demonstrates crass ignorance and is a leftover from the days when the bogey man was communism.
This was demonised by successive governments to dupe the population in the same way that Muslims are demonised today
All you have to say about Obama's healthcare reform is that it is socialist and millions of mad Americans who would benefit from it start screaming against it.
This just demonstrates how stupid and gullible the average American is and why they think it us the greatest nation on earth despite it being a bankrupt warmongering human rights abuser

The US is the home of democracy, well if you ignore the facts like Bush's corrupt election win of 2000, the imposition of tyrannical dictators in places like Chile and Congo etc
It is the home of free speech, well if you ignore the 41 countries above it in that league table
It has the best medical system in the world, well, the most expensive at least. It is 37th in the quality league
It is the most war mongering nation on earth
It is a Christian country that hates the poor, the meek etc but worships money and makes tons of hardcore porn
It is the land of equality, well unless you area black, gay, Muslim, Hispanic etc
It hates terrorists, well apart from the ones it loves like those it harbours and sponsors to attack Castro
And it consumes 8 times as much of the earth's resources per capita as the people of Africa
But that is because god prefers Americans
