Argumentum ad populum ("appeal to belief", "appeal to the majority", "appeal to the people"): where a proposition is claimed to be true solely because many people believe it to be true


I should also add:


Argumentum ad nauseam: is an argument made repeatedly (possibly by different people) until nobody cares to discuss it anymore.


Keep repeating your lies and people are bound to believe it as true. Fact is, Bush was the leader of the Party and McCain went against Bush at least 5% of the time... If McCain becomes leader, he will lead the party.


Obama has NEVER gone against his party - Making Obama the Conformist candidate marching to the Democrat party orders and not the candidate of Change. Hes not suggesting anything that Democrats haven't advocated for decades... He just "doesn't look like those other presidents on dollar bills" so people accept that as being all the Change they need.
