The trident whistleblower William McNeilly now is in military custody. His brother said he had handed himself in:

After working my ass off, putting my life on the line and sacrificing pretty much all I had to warn you and government. I’ll be awarded with free meals and free accommodation, in prison … There is a small chance of a pardon or a shortened sentence.

I'm not sure this guy is a whistle blower, he seems more like a malcontent with a martyr complex to me. Did he give up any secrets? He obviously had decided to embarrass the Royal Navy before he even completed his training but did he really blow the whistle on anything other than the fact that submariners are sometimes lax as far as rules are concerned and that submarines don't have 5 star accommodations.
