I vote. I am all for people protesting, but I don't see where anything I could do would stop Israel from attacking Palestinians.

Neither the Palestinians nor the Israelis are the "right side" in this conflict. Both sides want the impossible: to rule it all.

You still protest even if your politicians are greedy assholes and not listening to you. That’s especially when you should protest in fact. If you were a true leftist then you would know that Israel has always been the wrong side here. Any hate from the Palestinians is reactionary to the oppression they’ve been put through by Israel. We can stop funding and arming them though. We the people can keep protesting for that and holding our politicians accountable for what our country is contributing to the situation. That’s not a real democracy then if there’s an issue you’re not allowed to vote on. This is totally something most people here are against and only the donors and politicians want to keep going. This is the height of what people should protest. The only solution is to fight these monsters otherwise they will continue on as usual and nothing will ever be achieved. It’s a basic concept really.

I think that most Americans who are not Jewish or fundamentalists are apathetic about foreign policy in the Middle East.
There is no chance that Americans will ever be given a vote on Israel policy. Yeah, that is not democratic. But that is simply a fact.
