Go after the families of terrorists.

Is it barbaric or would the change in rules of engagement tip the scales in favor of those who've been fighting terrorism and not winning?

“We’re fighting a very politically correct war,” Mr. Trump said, adding, “The other thing with the terrorists, you have to take out their families.”

“They say they don’t care about their lives,” he added. “You have to take out their families.”
Huh? And how exactly will the families of terrorists [ISIS fighters for example] be identified?

Blowing up Khadaffi's family got his attention. Made him very agreeable.
Its easier to find them but hardly impossible to ID these others.

Sounds like a plan! The regime that's in power doesn't seem to have a clue as to how to defeat these mongrels. Hell they won't even call them terrorists! Workplace violence? A few decades ago, a President of the U.S. would never have dared say something so blatantly stupid as that! I agree with Trump!

Until you identify and can confirm someone is a terrorist, how can you justify 'going after them'? That's what criminals do, hurt family members who are innocent, but in the case of terrorists who blow themselves up, i doubt they would care about their families if they don't care about their own lives.

Instead they need family members to voice concerns in order to prevent attacks. In the recent case of the California shootings, the suspect who is US born with family in the US must have noticed something when he went to Saudi to bring back a bride.

I think it would help a lot if we would close the revolving door that exists between us and Muslim countries. We are at war, and we need to realize that we are at war. Who are we at war with? Sorry but it's not Irish Catholic Grandmas! Profiling is a wonderful tool. We use it all the time, and it's simply a more accurate way to identify a bad guy. We need to stop letting people run back and forth, and just close off all immigration, and secure our borders.

"Blow the hell out of ISIS!" The latest I heard from GOP leading presidency hopeful, Trump, at the interview tith Hannity Fox News Insider. Amazingly and incredibly, polls went up in favor of Donald Trump. These barbaric animals do not have any qualms about valuing lives of people-- Jews, Americans and French and Christians. The IS Islam caliphate will kill and murder.

A nation's leader who cannot even address terrorism connected to radical Islamists jihadists, is incapable of protecting the lives of the people. And is stupid, foolish and mentally delusional.

Last year a journalist [don't know how he managed to do it] interviewed two ISIS fighters who said that they wouldn't hesitate to kill their families if they were told to do so. Targeting their families IMHO would only exacerbate things because family members who survive will want vengeance and if that demands they join a terrorist organization they will. All the ramifications of such action [killing the families of terrorists] must also be taken into account lest it end up creating more problems.

I really don't think they care about their families either, the new family are those they fight with. That's why some change their name to show that they are no longer associated with their old life.

I think the Muslim community as a whole is shrouded in secrecy and maybe people don't want to see certain things too. The families maybe innocent, but how would that stop terrorism by targeting them, they are not terrorists, but that renders whoever chooses to do so no better than the terrorist themselves. It's like taking a useless hostage, so what purpose would it achieve?

Conspiracy theorists believe that the wars in the Middle East and the creation of ISIS were supposed to keep the Muslims busy fighting each other. Thus occupied, they wouldn't think of attacking the murdering people in the West. If plan it was, then it didn't work. There's no war that will end terrorism.

IMHO, there are better ways to fight terrorism. We've got to learn how the terrorists recruit jihadis and do something to counter that. An ideology that appeals to more Muslims and makes them focus on other things.

It took time for communism to spread [worldwide]. The same thing could happen in the Arab world . . .

This is the kind of strategy that would work. Bombs are a bandaid solution. One terrorist organization toppled, another will take it's place.

In his latest comments, hasn't trump got a point? When you look at the attack on Paris for example, it a been confirmed that the attackers came in and moved around Europe freely as refugees, being allowed in and out of France many times.

If France had closed its borders, they well might have still got in to the country, but it would have been a lot harder than what it was, and it may have stopped the massacre that occurred.
