North Korea is frequently described as "Stalinist", but this is not correct.

Stalin was an intellectual colossus, the foremost Marxist scholar of his time and

would not have allowed a economy like North Korea reach it's current weakened state.

The Soviet Union under Stalin was able to produce enough miltary materiel to destroy the German war machine.

Stalin did not attempt to foist his son or relatives on the workers and hardly of any of the second generation of Bolsheviks reached positions of power.

The eventual destruction of the Soviet Union came about when the Brezhnev clique allowed the rise of a revisionist generation that bought into the capitalist dream and grabbed the fruits of the sixty years of socialist labour to become the oligarchs, well personified by the Tsarist clone Vladimer Putin.

North Korea is a virtual military dictatorship, just like the US and their lickspittle satraps, the South Koreans.
