It would be more difficult to find a more diligent servant of the current US war state than the egregious George Bush the elder who rose without trace as a congressman, then Nixon flunky as ambassador to the UN and China, and then like Putin used the nation's main spy agency as a springboard to higher things.
Son of arch traitor Prescott Bush, who was Hitlers US banker until changing sides in 1941, Bush went to Yale and then used "success" in the oil business to leverage himself into politics. Probably the most adept display of his political talents was avoiding any fallout from the Iran-contra scandal despite having his fingerprints all over it. Of course Bush pardoned all those other criminals who were justifiably tried and convicted. The corporation looks after it's own.
A more critical reception awaits now that this man is "out of the loop", in contrast to the fawning display from the loathsome band of cold-warrior fossils likely to turn up at his ceremony.
