If you feel that teachers are over paid, it is not too late for you to become a teacher. I was over 40 when I became one. I found out that teachers are virtually powerless. And that it is the attitude of the parents and their students that determine if the student is going to learn or not. The teachers are afraid of the principal, the principal is afraid of the superintendent, the superintendent is afraid of the school board, the school board is afraid of the parents, and the students are not afraid of anyone, especially a teacher.Become a teacher if you wish to leave your dream world behind and have a rude awakening about what has happened to the state of education.
