Could. The year after Mt. St. Helen's blew apart, the whole northern U.S. had cooler weather and lousy crops.

I read earlier that there are volcanoes that have become active below Antarctica, and that's why they have been loosing some of their ice. AND IT'S NOT CAUSED BY GLOBULL WARMING.

There has been underwater volcanic in the artic. Kinda explains some ice melt there. 10 degrees would be high. Depending on how much dust gets kicked up it might budge things a fraction.
