Up until this statement, there was a part of me, buried somewhere in the back of my brain, that actually still believed there was a possibility you were a teacher. Now that's gone, thanks, makes things much easier.
We live in a world of causality, bewitched. If they hate us, there's a reason they hate us. Just like there was a reason for the rise of Nazism, just like there was a reason for the Spanish Inquisition, just like there was a reason for the assassination of Caesar. The biggest break from logic I think I've encountered on this site are those who think that "reasons" equal "excuses." If you were really a professor, you'd understand that. Moreover, I'd expect you to be teaching it - as understanding the enemy's motivations is a key to war. You wouldn't last a week teaching people that the enemy "just chooses to hate."
Oh, and "hatred" doesn't require a blood vessel popping on someone's forhead, lots of yelling, or any of the other stuff we associate with heightened emotional states. It can be simple, calm, and methodical. I think you know what I'm talking about.
My advice: go to school. Take some classes in psychology and, most importantly, sociology. One or two in theology and philosophy wouldn't hurt either.
