New York state, run by a democrat, is $14 Billion in the hole.
Nevertheless, in typical New York style, the plan was not to cut spending, but increase taxes. Taxes on non-diet sodas, on ITunes purchases, and downloadable software purchases. Taxes on Taxis, Movies, and even clothing.
The massive increase in taxes, however, has been postponed. Why yes. Cited as a success of the Obama stealfromus package, the Governor of New York, has tapped (get this) the $5 Billion dollars set aside for Medicaid, to off set the massive deficit. Therefore, the taxes will not be put into effect... yet....
Of course, as soon as the stealfromus $5 Billion for "medicaid" runs out... guess what New York is going to have to do?
But until then... Thanks Obama! You allowed New York to spend like a crack addicted socialist, and not pay the price! Yet... instead we all pay now....
