EPA Set To Regulate Ditches And Gullies On Private Property

If the Environmental Protection Agency has its way, ditches and gullies on private property could be viewed as navigable waterways and regulated under the Clean Water Act.

Rep. John Mica (R-FL), chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, Rep. Nick Rahall (D-WV), the ranking committee member, and Rep. Bob Gibbs (R-OH), chairman of the Subcommittee on Water Resources and Environment, sent a letter to House colleagues outlining what they see as an "expansion of federal jurisdiction."

“Never in the history of the CWA has federal regulation defined ditches and other upland features as ‘waters of the United States,’” the lawmakers wrote.

You see why we gotta remove more democrats from house and senate? EPA should not dictate policy. This is why Gas Prices were high and we need pipelines from Canada and Mexico so we dont buy from Saudi Arabia.

There is a lot more to this than we are aware of. Ever here of Agenda 21? Alabama just passed a law banning it in their state, but it's being implemented in a lot of states. This isn't just about ditches and gullies. Obama and his minions have been working feverishly passing one regulation after another limiting our property and recreation rights.

yes they have been working at this for decades and no more feverishly than the last three+ years.

and all mud puddles and clogged gutters

There are a lot of rural areas that have erosion made gullies that collect run-off water, especially along asphalt roads. They develop their own little ecco-systems, breeding mosquitos, frogs and cattails. Even Chicago has alleyways have gullies between their slumlord apartment buildings. Is this what they want to regulate?
