Gingrich throws his hat into the ring

If a man who claims family values has an affair it could be a mistake or it could be an example of hypocrisy. I really don't remember which it is.

But the most damning thing I saw was:

“The idea that a congressman would be tainted by accepting money from private industry or private sources is essentially a socialist argument.”

I really want to see that in context before I think too much about it though. Anyone want to show that to us in context.

to cheat could be a mistake...to attack others for that mistake saying its immoral.. while you are doing it is hypocracy regardless. When you then later claim you had the Affair becuse you love America...I am not sure there are words to discribe you anymore..

as for your context it was in monther jones, here is a link for you...

I

"Hypocracy"? "Becuse"? "Discribe"? "Monther"?

I have to wonder how the Minnesota school systems rank in graduation rate, percent of graduates who are functionally illiterate, and other education benchmarks.

(And this same person gave me crap for typing "Obama" instead of "Osama")

Apparently not. Without context, you can add your own or just leave it to the imagination. Since nobody can give context, I'll add my own.

Q. Those of us here at the Socialist Party USA believe Congressional campaigns should be publicly financed with good clean taxpayer money rather than letting that dirty old private money taint the candidates and skew the political process. What's your view on that?

A. “The idea that a congressman would be tainted by accepting money from private industry or private sources is essentially a socialist argument.” If the congressman was corrupt, it would not matter if his campaign money came from the public treasury or private sources, he was corrupt before accepting money of any kind from any source.

Newt has no chance. He is running merely to sell books and keep his fat face in front of the public. He is very smart and holds many political opinions I agree with, but the baggage is way too much.

We all know the Rs will be influenced by the left media and the many liberals/progressives that have infected that party. There will be a big effort to nominate another D light candidate, which while better than BO, will only prolong the national agony we have endured for the last several years.

Congress will go conservative in 2012 as more conservatives get elected to the House and Senate. They will control whoever occupies the WH.

That would be hypocrisy.

That would NOT be in context. Your source gave the same exact quote with nothing of what came before it or after. Your source did not describe why or when or where he said it and did not provide a citation. that is in no way shape or form "in context".

Your hypothetical context would clearly exonerate the statement. Can anyone provide the real context. (though it may be a mute point since the circumstances of his adultery probably disqualify him from candidacy but not from writing books)

thats where teh quote is from, thus what I posted ( but I think if you read mroe around it it gives the idea he ment what he said,,,but thats as close to a source I think your going to find...as I doubt anyone is going to post a whole transcript of what he said word for word...unless you want to check with the writter for the full source....But since it fits with newts idea of money and politics overall...and his attraction to throwing out socialist or nazi language against enemies...I doubt any context is going to make that sound better then as stated.

and yes that fact that he has been married 3 times, cheated on his wife, attacked clinton for impeachment for cheated while he was cheating on his own wife , and throw in his birther crap, he has no chance regardless.

You started the whole "spell check/typo" thing with the Obama/Osama typo I made, so I decided to play along.

Every once in awhile, I'll go into the pit and play with the bottom feeders.

Once again, your hypocrisy is on display for everybody to see. I can't imagine what it's like to go through life without a conscience and without integrity. It must be very difficult.

Newt did himself in yesterday. Here - http://hotair.com/archives/2011/05/15/gingrich-i-oppose-paul-ryans-medicare-reform-but-support-a-variation-of-the-individual-mandate/

IMHO Newt is a big government elitist. For him to dump on Ryan's plan is unforgivable and only gives ammo to the Left to attack Ryan.

Newt was on Bill Bennett's radio show in April commending Ryan's plan. But, he flipped when on the disgustingly liberal biased program Meet The Depressed.

Bye Newt and don't let the door hit you in your fat ass...
