These are the newspapers that have so far endorsed Obama...their circulation is 5.4 million, McCain's endorsements so far include papers with a circulation of .9 million..quite a discrepancy, possibly revealing the current state of the race. Those with an "R" after them endorsed Bush in 2004...notable among these is the Salt Lake Tribune, Chicago Tribune, and Denver Post and The Columbian which is from Vancouver Wa., about 50 miles south of me.

I just noticed too...the Oregonian is not on the list and they will officially endorse Obama tomorrow.

Also the Las Cruces (N.M.) Sun-News also endorsed Obama today making it the 11th paper that backed Bush in 2004 to now support Obama.

The Oregonian is a socialist rag

we call it the dead fish wrapper here. Its only good use is to wrap fish guts in so you dont make a mess when cleaning your catch.

They would endorse satan himself if he ran as a democrat so nothing about that is impressive, though those others you named were if they endorsed Bush 4 years ago over Kerry.

A couple of newspapers that have never endorsed a Democrat are endorsing Obama now:

WASHINGTON (Oct. 17) - Democrat Barack Obama on Friday won endorsements from two unlikely newspapers -- the Chicago Tribune and the Los Angeles Times.
While the Tribune is the largest daily in Obama's hometown, the publication hasn't backed a Democrat in its 161-year history. And the Times hasn't endorsed a presidential candidate since 1972, when it backed President Richard M. Nixon's re-election. This is also the first time it's endorsing a Democrat for president.

I'm not sure what to conclude from all of that, but it does seem that it's more than the "liberal media" that likes Obama.

Don't worry

Al-qaeda, that famous right-wing invention, has come out in favour of the egregious McCain/Monty Python ticket.

So all is well.

Comrade Stalin of RupertMurdochovia

could you provide a link?

I have seen the links about hamas endorsing obama as they endorsed John Freaking Kerry (who served in Vietnam)

but I have not seen links showing Al-qaeda endorsing McCain and Palin. Please provide a link?

Most city newspapers are firmly entrenched in the liberal media establishment - conservative newspaper editors are extremely rare. The title of this thread might just as well have been "Liberals support Obama".

Yes of course.... that vast right-wing conspiracy.

You know, I was in my basement the other day, and thought to invent a group of terrorist known as "weathermen", and have them try and blow up people, then have one become a university professor who would openly states he wished he blew up more people, and then have this mythical terrorist turned university professor from the fabricated terrorist group, throw his support behind a politician turned coming messiah from a church of hate....

But... that seemed just a bit unbelievable. Don't you agree?
