The pay roll taxes and unemployment benefits provide MONEY for people who need it the most to be able to purchase goods. . .which then increases DEMAND for those goods, which then allow for more hiring.

You really should try to study up on "DEMAND side" economy, instead of being stuck in the NEVER SUCCESSFUL "SUPPLY SIDE" economy!

as any payroll tax or extended unemployment would be a continuation of whats been in effect for at least a year, there is no new spending as a result. no new spending, no new hiring.

you could make an argument that NOT passing this could cause layoffs but thats not what you opted to do.
