Bush has stated he is not in support of anything other than a program aimed at creating a "sustainable peace" int he middle east.

There has nto been "sustained" peace, under even the most generous of definitions, in thousands of years. Who does he htink he is this time, Ghandi?

I don't want to sound like the pessimist of the bunch but I don't think the U.S can bring "sustainable peace" to Iraq or other nations in the middle east. I think the citizens of those countries have to start the process first.

I agree with Brandon on this matter. The people of those nations must start first. The same happened during the American Revolution. After colonialists started to fight the British, the french came and helped the militias.
