I bet you already guessed it

well nothing new about this, they've been using it in what seems like every sentence uttered about the right but I thought the highlighted phrase was most notable

“Extreme!”

Somewhere, in some focus group, the Democrats have determined that people do not like the word “extreme.” Therefore, no matter what the GOP does or what the GOP candidates say, it will be labeled as “extreme,” so as to strike fear into the hearts of Americans who likely react negatively to the word.

Take a look at the email the Obama reelection campaign sent out yesterday in response to Romney’s win in Iowa:
The path ahead for Romney — or whichever of the Republican candidates is going to emerge from this process — is sadly and starkly very clear: to run even further to the extreme right, and make even more dangerous promises that threaten not only the progress we’ve made but the fundamental fabric of American society.
We also know that candidates who take these extreme positions can, in the right circumstances, win not only a primary but also a general election in just about any state. Just ask the Tea Party senators from Pennsylvania and Kentucky, and the Tea Party governors in Florida and Wisconsin.
Democrat pundits are also trying to push the idea that the GOP candidates hold “extreme” positions on the issue of immigration; they are trying to target the Hispanic vote, which could be key in 2012. The Democrat National Committee just yesterday released a statement, “If Romney becomes the Republican nominee, his position on immigration would be the most extreme of any presidential nominee of our time.” Notice they don’t explain WHAT Mitt Romney’s extreme position is on immigration, but only that it is scary and extreme.

This will be the storyline from now until the election in November. The Obama campaign will paint the picture it wants to paint, regardless of fact.

2004: "TORTURE!"
2006: "OBSTRUCTIONIST!"
2008: "RACIST!"
2010: "INHERITED!"
2012: "EXTREME!"

We should hold a competition to pick what the 2014 campaign "theme" will be for the Democrats.

I'm guessing it involves "nazi" in some way. these words seem to make their way from the fringe on to the main. of course it could be the main is just moving to the fringe driving them further....

Seems to me that the term "Nazi" is used a LOT more by the rRight than the Left? Even in this forum!

Sorry UnAmerican Socialist, Facist, and all those where used by you guys already...of course you guys never have called Obama Extreme...

If you are referring to the Great Joe McCarthy, you might want educate yourself on what he and the House Committee on Un-American Activities actually did. You might start by reading the Venona Papers, which confirmed that many on the Left who were accused of being commies, were commies. Just like many on the Left today are commies.

And, there can be no debate about BO. He is without question an extremist. A radical leftist if you prefer.
