The last 3 SCOTUS appointments of Dems have been women. We're in an age of over-compensation. A lot more women and non-white-men candidates are making themselves available for higher positions, so it's to be expected that more are seriously considered and chosen. The over-compensation will lead to the same negatives like set-asides, quotas & lowered standards that have affected society since accommodations made for blacks, who deserved some, and gays, which was a big mistake, since the late 60s.
The reason blacks needed more and more accommodations to get the number of blacks up to some acceptable/comparable % was the fact that the negative effects in that era coincidentally increased at about the same pace as the intended positive effects of equal opportunities were counterproductive. To wit: The majority black schools did not then & still have not operated or delivered an education comparable to majority white schools. They have indeed become for the most part worse, only a very few got better. In fact most schools in the US have declined in quality, from Harvard & MIT down to your local grammar school.
The free lunch for pregnant teenagers in place of forced adoption of their out of wedlock child has spawned several generations of kids having kids having kids, -lots of kids, too. Pretending that children old enough to bear children had the moxie to raise children better than themselves is silly on its face. Rewarding bad behavior with a monthly check that allowed these girls to move away from home and "on their own", -a euphemism for without supervision, cannot work, and didn't. We are now gifted with children who know how to game the system and a whole system of people employed with & distributing tax dollars to support a production line of unprepared girls raising children to the "best of their abilities", -a euphemism for badly. Our prisons are full of uneducated, undisciplined boys who were un-raised by immature, unwed, undisciplined, ill-prepared girls. GIGO. The old system worked better, allowed both mother & child to grow up better and out-live mistakes made. The new system doesn't do any of that. Who was well served?
So, back to what happens as the result of over-compensation: Lowered Standards. Back in the olden days you had to be crime-record-free, at least 5'8" tall and of proportional weight, fit, and High School grad and able to do physical things that very few women could do. The constraints of time won't allow me to go item by item, but we all know that none of those standards apply anymore. Gotta include women, ipso facto decrease the size; women are generally lighter, so no such time as too small. If no such thing as too small, then you can't apply an "arbitrary" too fat end of the scale either. (I could post some photos that would illustrate, but we all know where this has gone) All these lowered standards also apply to fireman, so if you're an injured fat guy who falls down and can't ambulate in burning building, you’re going to die. Etc., etc.
Claudine (Insert your choice of special category filler) will be replaced by anything except a white guy. And all the other fire-ees, too, that get swept up in this gonna be superficial house cleaning.
