According to this, Obama's approval rating is slipping (no surprise there), but he could still beat Palin or Huckabee if the election were held today.

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama's approval ratings have sunk to the lowest level of his presidency, so low that he'd lose the White House to Republican Mitt Romney if the election were held today, according to a new McClatchy-Marist poll.

The Evangelicals are going to have to suck it up and vote for a Mormon in the primary, or see another Obama term.

Unless, of course, things change in the next two years, or someone else steps up to the plate.

I liked Romney is 2008, and I would sure take him over Palin or Huckabee.

Jim DeMint will beat the Skinny Socialist like a drum...

The death of liberalism is at hand. Hallelujah!!! Thank God for saving America from this awful scourge that so many have suffered under so terribly for so long.

Amen!

Pro-abortion and then flip-flopping on it, plus and advocate of "same sex marriage", Romney is a liberal's ideal GOP candidate. But the day of the RINOs is coming to an end. Far from being nominated for president, many of them will be culled out in the 2012 primaries.

The ideal GOP candidate is a "young" (40s) conservative with solid government executive experience, and significant business experience. We don't need the retreads.

Evidently, so would most US voters.

I think he is the only Republican running I think at least has a shot...and actuly would not suck horribly...Huck...I think while seems to be a nice guy and likable...not that man that is going to do anything..

Newt is toast...
Palin is hated 1/3 found to be way underqualified buy 1/3 and loved by 1/3...maybe could win a primary..but would then get crushed in a general

At some point when they are all RINO's....don't you have to understand that maybe...Thats just what Republicans are?

the only real Republicans in some minds...are mythical Creatures

Your misapprehenesion of republicans of represents the typical leftwing distorted view: blurry, uninformed, and ignorant of history.

The problem w/ the GOP is that they campaign on Libertarian princinples and their action do not back it up.

"We want a constitutionally limited government. (But we support the unconstitutional war on drugs."

"We want religious freedom! (But we want to leglislate our morals on others.)"

"We want to reduce the debt and cut spending. (But we would gladly vote for a spending bill that is ours and deficit spend america to hell if it means we get a tax break.)"

"All liberties protected in the constitution are important to us. (Unless you look like a terrorist then all bets are off.)"

"No one is above the law even the president. (Unless your name is Nixon.)"

"WE are individuals and if you disagree with US then YOU are part of the group think propaganda machine."

The reason real republicans are rare is because almost all of them that actually support what rebublicans claim they support call themselves Libertarians.

No one worth voting for has a snowball's chance in hell of beating Obama.

Huck seems like a nice guy and so does Obama but that is irrelvant in deciding if they should govern us.

I agree, just saying the rest I don't even like as people ...and you know as well as I do how many voters will vote for...the guy they want to have a beer with...over the smart choice...cough cough Bush W :)

its ok though as he was to liberal on some issues for the Republicans anyway..so will never get the nod..I can just see the 2012 primary being a Christine O'Donnell redo..where they will go so far right they will kill any chance of winning...so they can have there "purity"

Then debate him on it this ad hominem BS is worthless.

Dimwitted comments like "RINO's....don't you have to understand that maybe...Thats just what Republicans are?" don't deserve a serious response, much less a debate.
