I saw the the thread on why the left and right won't unite. My question is why should they unite? You have a party in the Dems that is for destroying values, morals, taxing the people of the country to death, and the fabric of the country's foundation. Then you have the Reps who need to return to conservative principles, stop spending like, they're democrats, protected the values and morals that make up this country, and fight the Dems tooth and nail on spending. So I ask again why should they unite.....and Who really believes that Obama is doing or can do this?

We have the good side and the evil side? You live in a simple universe, Ronaldus. There is right and wrong, good and bad, in both sides, both points of view, but are correct in saying they can never unite, nor should they. Anyone who thought that Obama could do this was overly optimistic.

I don’t think they should unite. I posted the thread with an article about how we are more divided than ever.

P Obama said he would unite us, he said he would bring both sides together
He said he would be bi partisan

And we are more divided now than we have ever been and many many voters voted for him because they believed him when he said he could stop the partisan bickering and they were duped

The point of the thread was he did not do what he promised, in actuality he did the polar opposite of what he promised

I guess it is simple. There is right and wrong.

I didn't mean to suggest that you thought we should unite. I read the thread, and had a question of my own afterward. The reason I ask is because I hear these people on TV talking about us all getting along and uniting. To me it sounds like a bunch of kumbaya BS. But then again I'm just a dangerous right wing extremist.

Oh I didnt think you meant anything bad, its actually a good question.
I think we should be decent to eachother, But I dont think we should ever cave to our moral values because we are out numbered, I dont think the left should have when they were out numbered either.

Not very many agree with me but I think we should split the country in half and sheeps on one side goats on the other. then the goats can abort all the kids they want (play on words) and coddle terrorists to their hearts content, tax the hell out of all the other goats and the sheep can get back to the basics of the constitution.

How do you "conservatives" get much of anything done....with your fingers, crossed, all-the-time???

Anyone who does think Obama will get-the-job-done, is old-enough to have seen it.....the first-time-around!

:p

They should unite where they share common ground.

The left fears fascist leaders who will take away certain civil rights. The right fears socialist leaders who will take away other civil rights.

The solution to both problems is the same. Stick to the principles laid out in the constitution.

The left doesn't believe in the constitution. Although they claim to fear taking away rights, they really don't. They use that as a claim to validate their cause. But when push comes to shove, they have no problem having their rights removed, provided it's their guy doing the removing.

For example, supposedly the Patriot Act horribly infringed on our rights. Yet Obama has upheld nearly the entire thing. I can not find one example where he has not. So was it really that bad? Or was it only bad if Bush did it?

Leftists have no problem with all rights being removed, unless it's not their guy doing it. Then they use it as a political football.

Pass some of what you're smoking this way...

The greatest levels of bipartisanship have been against Obama and the far left in their extremist agenda.
