Democrats are beginning to wake up and realize what a nightmare their open borders policies have unleashed on America. They are now calling for drastic changes and revocations of immigration-friendly laws passed years ago they see now are going to ruin their communities if they do not change them.

The Democratic mayor of a small Massachusetts city is urging state lawmakers to reform a 40-year-old “right-to-shelter” law that is putting immense strain on the area as thousands of migrant families arrive.

Scott Galvin said by Friday there were about 150 families living in the city’s hotels, an arrangement he called unsustainable for his 40,000 constituents.

Under the 1983 right-to-shelter law, Massachusetts officials are legally required to offer housing to any homeless families seeking shelter in the state. The law now covers a rising influx of migrant families, although individuals are not covered under its provisions.

Galvin told the New York Times the law was “passed at a different time, and was not meant to cover what we’re seeing now
 
Only thing I have been able to figure out is why liberals want the border so open is they think there will be a shortage of breeding democrats as so many are breeding with the same sex so they want them to vote democrat when the democrats make it legal for illegals and 15 year olds.
Also there must be a shortage of Ms 13 gang members turning their city's into shat holes.
And a shortage of meth heroin fentanyl and cheap labor for them.

Yes in democrat strong holds across the nation mayors are crying no more no more we need money billions upon billions more Joe .
NYC has already cut a billion from police funding and are short staffed and are freezing it for the police and cutting the entire operating budget by. 15 percent to all of the city's departments including the Fire and EMS services to make up the 12 billion it cost them this year and the 22 billion it will cost next year.

Let’s explore why Democrats want open borders
The Democrats have perfected the art of exploiting human tragedy to further their cause, I mean after all their motto is “the ends justify the means.”

So what are the ends? I think it’s obvious – more government.

The means? Collapse the welfare state within the United States by overwhelming they system with an influx of immigrants that they know damn well this country cannot handle.

The Means: Why do Democrats want open borders?

The answer is straightforward, POWER! It’s simple really, more people necessitates a ‘need’ for more government. The current migrant caravan story is just the latest example. We’ve been in an illegal immigration crisis for decades, with tens of millions of people entering the country illegally.

So follow with me now – more people, more government. And what’s the point of an open border? To invite illegal immigration. And who are illegal immigrants? Of necessity, they are typically people who have very little. They probably don’t speak the language. They don’t have jobs or support systems ready. So they become wards of the state.

The Democrats bribe immigrants with promises of healthcare, education, food stamps, etc. the same way they do everyone else. They create dependents. So now you have a whole new class of Democrat voters that will be with them for life.

A brand new study shows that 63 percent of non-citizens are on some kind of welfare program. 70 percent of non-citizens who have been in the country for longer than 10 years are on a welfare program.

The issue soon becomes, as Margaret Thatcher put it, “You eventually run out of other peoples money.” At which point the existing system collapses.

Enter the Cloward-Piven Strategy

What better way to collapse the existing system and create the need for a massive expansion of the federal government than to import millions of illegal aliens into the country? The idea is to overwhelm a system that already cannot keep up with the demand for handouts. So what happens then?

Two sociologist/progressive activists posited that exact question, and devised a nefarious scheme outlining a way in which progressives within the federal government could achieve their ends (power, more government.)

The Cloward-Piven Strategy is,

A political strategy outlined in 1966 by American sociologists and political activists Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven that called for overloading the U.S. public welfare system in order to precipitate a crisis that would lead to a replacement of the welfare system with a national system of “a guaranteed annual income and thus an end to poverty.”

“A guaranteed annual income,” I feel like I have heard that somewhere before…

The Ends: control

What better way to control the masses than to be the sole arbiter and source of their well-being? Is there any more ultimate leverage point than to coerce people to do whatever you want, just so they can eat?

Cloward and Piven also touched on another topic of the Democrat progressive movement, redistribution of income…

The ultimate objective of this strategy—to wipe out poverty by establishing a guaranteed annual income—will be questioned by some. Because the ideal of individual social and economic mobility has deep roots, even activists seem reluctant to call for national programs to eliminate poverty by the outright redistribution of income.

This is a term we hear a lot today as the left constantly demonizes the so-called rich, saying they don’t pay their fair share. Opening the border and importing thousands of illegal migrants into this country would only magnify those calls for even more redistribution of income from the “rich.”

It’s clear why the Democrats want an open border. They see an open border as a means to an end, a pathway to gain the power they have always dreamed of. The only way to stop them from achieving that goal is to back the few politicians we have left who truly stand up for a secure border. The very future of our country is at stake!
 
Yes I have said all along it was a effort to increase the democrat base over time.
Absolutely EVIL devious plan that will turn our nation into a shat hole . Venezuela a few months ago emptied a lot of prisoners and sent them north to us . Simple mined liberal news sources will not report on the issue until they become major issues then it's to late.
Democrat can be so ingorant of cause and effect.
