Maybe they need to change the lyrics of that tune to "Blue states, nothing but blue states...

The Electoral College Poll that tracks the real votes that elect our presidents reveal that Obama continues to hold a commanding lead. Today's electoral votes are.... Obama-349 / McCain-174 / Ties-15. The tie votes are the 15 votes from North Carolina where both candidates have 48% of the vote.

The Gallup Daily Tracking Poll today shows Barack Obama maintaining a 52% to 41% lead over John McCain, unchanged from Wednesday.

It's obvious that the smear attempts have not aided McCain, nor have the debates, as he continues to trail Obama in all the major polls.

You have posted this what 3-4 times now.... once will suffice for those who can read...

Aw, you're just upset because you don't like having your nose rubbed in it.

Any fact to your assumption? I have been saying for months now that 1 thread per topic is the way to have it done. I have said that to all parties...

What is the point of thread after thread if you are just saying the same thing?

Hi Big Rob,

Aren't those numbers something else? The sky is really turning blue. What a wonderful thing! Are you really surprised? You know deep in your heart, that once the economy started tanking, the wind was at Obamas back. His campaign has been smooth, smart, like none I've ever seen! While on the other hand, your guy pretends to run to the rescue, regarding the economy, and talking about everything else under the sun except the economy. The more he and Palin run their mouths, trying to demonize Obama, the better it gets for Obama. His attempt at an Obama character assasination is a little too late. It's been heard before, and people are sick of hearing the sh-t!

I love your post today. This race to the White House is something else! I can't wait for this last debate!!!! Do you think McCain will go for a slam dunk at this one, or do you think he will punk out again?

I have no problem with the numbers... my problem was that he felt compelled to flood the entire board with them....

I have said all along that a bad economy helps Obama, as sad as that is in my opinion, so it is not exactly surprising...

I also commented (to my friends) that McCain all but lost the election with his run back to Washington to "fix" the economic problem. I think he banked on the House passing the bill, which obviously they did not, and then it was all down hill from there.

But what it does show us, is that McCain is actually a "maverick." You can tell because Republicans in the House simply ignored him when he all but asked for their help in passing a bill. They would not have ignored him if he actively supported them and always toed the party line. That is also the reason you do not see McCain as "senate leadership." That task is reserved for "party people."

On the issue topic.

McCain does need to focus on issues, the only problem is when he does he does not explain them well. (By that I mean dumb them down so much that people actually get them)

I listen to Obama's explanation of issues and every idea he has for the most part is bad in my view. I am no fan of McCain persay, but Obama is horrific, and made even more so by a majority in both chambers. A vote for McCain is a vote for divided government, which is what we desperately need at this point I think.
