Kevin Jennings, the founder of GLSEN, did not conduct the seminar where fisting was discussed. However, he reportedly criticized the seminar's content when he became aware of it. The seminar was part of a conference sponsored by GLSEN and supported by the Massachusetts Department of Education. Jennings, as co-chair of the Governor's Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth education committee, was involved in setting up the statewide program "Safe Schools for Gay and Lesbian Students." The seminar included discussions on homosexual activities, which Jennings and the Massachusetts Department of Education were reportedly aware of beforehand.

Greenlanders are the ones who should determine the fate of their land. And clearly, they look at Puerto Rico and how the US has treated it, and Hawaiian natives and how the US has treated them, and they prefer to govern themselves.
