CBS poll - 91% approve of the SOTU speech

A CBS News Poll of Americans who watched President Obama’s State of the Union speech,conducted online by Knowledge Networks immediately after the address, finds viewersgenerally positive about the economic proposals he laid out in the speech and optimistic aboutthe prospects for bipartisanship in Congress.Overall, 91% of speech watchers approve of the proposals the President made in his speech.

Poll tested platitudes tend to be well recieved, we saw that in his first bid for the Presidency. Remember how popular the platitudes about how "historic" an Obama presidency would be? Contrast that with the reality...

For the first time in our country's history:

More than 5 Trillion in new debt was accumulated in less than 4 years.
Our national credit rating was downgraded for the first time ever.
New home sales set a record low.
Billions of taxpayer dollars were pissed away on "green" energy companies that went bankrupt.
A self avowed communist and 9/11 truther became the country's "jobs" czar.
The fed began monetizing the nation's debt.

Had Obama campaigned on the actual "historical" milemarkers that would be marked by his administration, like those listed above, his campaign would have had the worst poll numbers in history.

and of course this all had nothing to do with what happened before he took office...the econ was going Freaking great!
