A Hampshire market town is now thought to have more CCTV cameras per person than the biggest city in the US.

Massive investment in CCTV cameras to prevent crime in the UK has failed to have a significant impact, despite billions of pounds spent on the new technology, a senior police officer piloting a new database has warned. Only 3% of street robberies in London were solved using CCTV images, despite the fact that Britain has more security cameras than any other country in Europe.

eh the US isn't known for its cctvs I don't believe, we are however known for our overzealous cops and idiots in that line of work. I'd prefer britains law over ours. I'll avoid the long story about how I was an unconcious diabetic in the midst of a hypoglycemic fun time and the cops decided to arrest me, not at the time mind yuo but after I was released from the hospital with drug/alch tests all negative for "Resisting Arrest"....or about how after I was in court and they basically tossed the case out yet I still paid 400$ court costs and that was that.... seriously, cameras? no problem, sometimes I'm scared to drive around.
