Charlie Kirk believed that gay people should be stoned to death

Gay People

The graphic goes on to say of Kirk, “He said gay people are ‘destructive’ and endorsed having them put to death.”

The source is not clear, as we couldn’t find anything relevant that used the “destructive” word. But part of that claim could be a reference to something Kirk said while discussing comments about passages in the Bible made by Rachel Anne Accurso, better known as the YouTube personality Ms. Rachel.

In a June 8, 2024, episode of his podcast (at around the 1:00:00 mark), Kirk reacted to Accurso posting a video in which she cited Bible scripture to explain why she had wished a “Happy Pride” that month to people in the LGBTQ+ community.

“My faith is really important to me, and it’s also one reason why I love every neighbor,” she said in her video. “In Matthew 22, a religious teacher asked Jesus, what’s the most important commandment? And Jesus says, to love God and to ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’” “It doesn’t say love every neighbor except,” she went on to say.

In his reply, Kirk said Accurso left out something else the Bible says. “She’s not totally wrong,” Kirk said. “The first part is Deuteronomy 6:3–5. The second part is Leviticus 19. So you love God, so you must love his law. How do you love somebody? You love them by telling them the truth, not by confirming or affirming their sin.”

He continued: “And it says, by the way, Ms. Rachel, might want to crack open that Bible of yours, in a lesser referenced part of the same part of scripture is in Leviticus 18, is that thou shall lay with another man shall be stoned to death. Just saying. So, Ms. Rachel, you quote Leviticus 19, love your neighbor as yourself. The chapter before affirms God’s perfect law when it comes to sexual matters.”

After backlash from Kirk supporters, the author Stephen King, who had posted on Xon Sept. 11 that Kirk had “advocated stoning gays to death,” retracted his claim and apologized. King said, “What [Kirk] actually demonstrated was how some people cherry-pick Biblical passages.”

I cannot tell if leftist commies hate God, Trump, or Charlie Kirk more

The character called "God" in the Bible does not exist, there is no more reason to hate it than to hate unicorns and leprechauns.
Charlie Kirk is dead and will soon be forgotten. His beliefs were hateful, who tf cares.
Shitshizpants deserves the hatred of every American citizen until he is gone from the scene.

I am always amazed at the insistence of God-rejecters who claim they have special information they claim disproves the existence of God.

You are incapable of comprehending even simple sentences. I do not reject the possibility of a God, I simply reject the asshole deity described in the Bible. If you actually read the damned thing and understood it, perhaps you would come to the same conclusion. Snakes do not talk, they never had legs, and no, zombies did not cruise the streets of Jerusalem to celebrate Jesus' crucifixion. Nor is insanity caused by spirits and cannot be cured by passing said spirits into swine.

Again, it is impossible to prove the existence or nonexistence of any god or gods. But the "God" character in the Bible is clearly not more than a fabrication of various Hebrew and other myths. The cruel "God" of the Book of Job is unworthy of anyone's worship.

No, don't try to reveal the invisible God. He will not allow you to do that. He will reveal Himself at His appointed time.

Why do you assume I have any interest in revealing your fictional deity? I'd rather bring a Leprechaun to life and take his pot of gold.

God said the gold on earth will become cankered, which is another reason to abandon gold altogether if it is coming between you and Jesus.

What is "cankered"? How can a metal become diseased? You are saying God, but I am referring only to the impossible fictional biblical deity.

"..Charlie Kirk believed that gay people should be stoned to death, that the 1964 Civil Rights Act was a “huge mistake,” that we should legally be allowed to whip foreigners in the U.S., that Muslims only move here to destroy the country, that American Jews encourage anti-whiteness, that men should physically attack transgender people, that all women should submit to their husbands, and that Black professionals “steal” their jobs from more qualified white people.

Kirk used his massively influential, billionaire-funded “young conservative organization” Turning Point USA to spread these hateful views on a grand scale to a rising generation of copycat, crypto-fascist, edgelord trolls. And now that he’s been publicly slain in a horrific assassination, President Donald Trump has hailed Kirk as a “wonderful American” and a “martyr for truth and freedom.” Trump, gay Colorado Gov. Jared Polis (D), and others are flying flags at half-mast to commemorate him, and Kirk’s podcast bestie Gov. Gavin Newsom is telling people to “honor Charlie’s memory” by continuing his work.

..

“Choosing not to mourn someone who caused harm is not out of alignment with your spiritual beliefs,” she continued. “Grief is not a performance, and empathy is not an endless well. You are allowed to acknowledge limits. That doesn’t make you coldhearted, and it doesn’t mean you are wishing harm on anyone. It simply means you are being honest about your boundaries.⁣”

At this point, I’ve heard more sympathy from the president and media about Kirk’s murder than I’ve heard about school shooting victims regularly gunned down in their classrooms, thousands of Palestinian civilians slaughtered in Gaza, or Democratic state Rep. Melissa Hortman (D) being slain by a right-leaning assassin last June — as if Kirk’s life matters more than all of theirs. And then people wonder why some of us aren’t particularly saddened by the death of this one wealthy bigot.

We’re told we should be horrified because no one deserves to be murdered for their political beliefs, because Kirk’s killer is still at large, and because — in the words of Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and countless others — “political violence has absolutely no place in our nation.”

But, as fellow journalist Hunter Walker pointed out yesterday, “Political violence has been a feature of American life from the Revolution, to the genocide of indigenous peoples, to slavery, mass lynching of Blacks and Latinos, the turmoil of the 60s, to mass shootings, to January 6, and Charlie Kirk’s killing.”

You’re telling me that I’m supposed to condemn the murder of a wealthy and politically super-connected bigot who spent every moment of his life actively vilifying and fomenting violence against the most marginalized among us, and then weep when his own hatred inevitably backfired against him?

Kirk’s murder is shocking, but no less shocking than the decades-long, state-sanctioned violence committed against whoever the police, the president, and other federal authorities consider to be worthy targets: We largely criminalize immigrants and the poor, neglect the sick and the old, and persecute those who protest for social justice, vilify them all as stupid and dangerous and then either jail them, mock them online, or otherwise leave them to rot.

We may not have viral video of these marginalized people being slaughtered (like Kirk was), but their brutalization and deaths — largely socially sanctioned and hidden away from public view — are no less horrific, brutal, or needless … and they’re far more worthy of social change pursued in their memory than the promised political retribution that’s about to erupt in Kirk’s memory.

You see, Kirk was part of a larger right-wing media echo-system that will continue to actively peddle violence and hate for dollars and clout. In that vein, just last night, President Trump used his own platform to blame leftists for Kirk’s death — even though investigators have yet to find the killer — and then promised to use the full power of his administration to find “those who contributed to [Kirk’s death] … including the organizations that fund it and support it.”

People will take it how they choose. Just as in race and politics!

I'm on the left and I believe in God. You right-wingers are like the Pharisees in the bible.
It is common for disobedient Christians to falsely accuse innocent people like so many leftists in America so commonly accuse innocent Christians of racism or terror violence.
