You are clueless regarding the methane problem. Methane is a problem with abandoned and unused wells that have not been capped properly. That is not caused by so called "big oil".

Big oil owns many of those wells, and Big Oil lobbies against any regulations to cap those wells. The oil industry is responsible for the leakage of its old wells.

Democrats hate oil companies, not because oil companies provide the necessary fuel that most Americans depend on, especially the poor, but because they need to demonize coal in order to spike lucrative government investments in leftist renewable energy organizations and operations that are making leftists incredibly rich.
 
Oil and coal are not sustainable assets, wind, solar, hydroelectric and tidal are sustainable. Big Oil and Big Coal have paid to elect fool who do not give on bloody shit about respiratory diseases, like asthma and others.
