Democratic Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland delivered an impromptu history lesson the House floor Wednesday, correcting Rep. Dan Bishop for mistakenly saying that Thomas Jefferson signed the Constitution. “The Constitution that Thomas Jefferson signed said the Congress shall have power ‘to exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases whatsoever, over such District,’” Bishop said.

Raskin, who was a professor of constitutional law at American University Washington College of Law before he was elected to Congress, responded by pointing out an error in Bishop’s statement, saying Jefferson did not sign the Constitution. “I do have to correct my friend in his history, because there might be some students watching this,” Raskin said. “Thomas Jefferson never signed the Constitution. He was, of course, on a diplomatic mission when the Constitution was being signed in Philadelphia, but he did write the Declaration of Independence.”

its just amusing since republicans are always wrapping themselves in the flag and whining about how they are the patriotic party blah blah blah and a democrat had to correct a republican about founding father history lol.

btw, ya gotta love the names lawmakers give bills - "The legislation, titled the D. C. Criminal Reforms to Immediately Make Everyone Safe Act of 2024"

everyone will be immediately safe if this bill was passed? lol.

The leftist who suspended President Trump's civil rights and due process in order to unconstitutionally, unjustly, immorally, unethically, seditiously, and wickedly impeach his Commander-in-Chief thinks he shows himself an expert on the Constitution for cathcing a fellow lawmaker he hates without reason in a technicality?

That's irrelevant. He was merely pointing out the lie he told. You do it all the time and I ping you. It's a genetic thing with republicans.

Nothing was suspended, legal *****
As I already pointed out
You enjoy looking stupid

It was important for leftist liars to change a few words in Trump's call to dishonestly make him look crooked.

His appearance of crookedness was self inflicted apart from the fact he is.
There was no excuse for deliberately changing the words of the transcript to make President Trump look bad. Such dishonest slander against the legitimately elected President of the US borders on treason.

Noone changed anything.
You simply won't accept the facts.

The transcripts are wildly different, but that does not mean uneducated democrat rubes can see that. Schiff's dishonest lying version is designed to fool dummies into thinking they should misinterpret Trump's actual words to agree with Schiff's lying version.

No one changed anything. Get over it.
