Some Democrats were heard grumbling while Obama urged them to finish
their job of passing Healthcare.

Obama said it has to be done or jobs will not come back!

Did Obama mean he isn't coming back, since Americans oppose it?

The legislation remains stuck in limbo, and there were fresh signs Wednesday of greater skepticism among some rank-and-file Democrats.

Republicans need to govern as though they are the majority in exile and pick off Demcocrats who reject the direction Obama wants to take this country in.

That's a long list of Democrats.

Obamacare is a tarbaby for dem congresscritters and its a matter of whether they believe that they are already DOA and might as well go out with a bang or hope that voters will forgive them their error.

"What's happening in California can happen in any state. It's clear that we need health insurance reform that will give American families the secure, affordable coverage they need and put a stop to insurance company abuses and control out-of-pocket costs. We're closer than ever to reforming our health insurance system. Now is the time to finish the job."

The clear majority of Americans are against Obama's Healthcare.

Even the liberal media agrees:

It's a real stinker of a plan!
So, when Republicans INSIST-upon Transparency, they mean....unless it becomes PUBLIC??!!!!

"When the president invites you to sit down for a talk, you accept the invitation and bring your best ideas to the conversation.

President Barack Obama has invited congressional Republicans to join him and congressional Democrats for a televised, half-day discussion about health care reform later this month. The correct GOP response is: We accept. Just tell us where and when. We'll be there.

That seems pretty basic, especially for a party whose loudest gripe in the health care debate is that its ideas haven't been given a hearing by the Democratic leadership on Capitol Hill. But Republicans are being egged on by conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh, among others, to stay away."

Here Kitty, Kitty, Kitty......

Poll: Obama Health Care Marks Hit New Low

(CBS)
President Obama's approval rating on handling health care is at an all-time low, according to a new CBS News poll, something that is helping to drag down his overall approval rating.

Just 36 percent of Americans approve of Mr. Obama's handling of health care, according to the poll, conducted from Jan. 6 – 10. Fifty-four percent disapprove. In December of last year, 42 percent of Americans approved of the president’s handling of health care, and 47 percent approved in October.

Yet things could be worse: With Democrats in Congress continuing to negotiate the terms of their comprehensive health care package, both Congressional Republicans and Democrats receive even lower marks than the president on the issue, the poll shows.

About six in 10 Americans continue to disapprove of how both Democrats and Republicans in Congress are handling health care reform: 57 percent disapprove of how Democrats are handling the issue, while 61 percent disapprove of how Republicans are handling it.

CBSNews.com Special Report: Health Care

Approval among each party's own supporters is also low. Just 48 percent of Democrats approve of how Democrats in Congress are handling health care, while only 43 percent of Republicans approve of how their party in Congress is handling the issue.

Moreover, there is little consensus that the reforms under consideration represent the right approach. Only about one in five Americans thinks the reforms strike the right balance when it comes to expanding coverage, controlling costs and regulating insurance companies.

The public is divided on whether the reforms go too far or not far enough in providing health coverage to as many Americans as possible, and about four in 10 think the reforms do not do enough to lower costs or regulate insurance companies.

The whole reason there is a disapproval of Obama's plan is that it is no longer Obama's plan and everyone knows it.

Ah, incompete data with respect to polling can be so effectively misleading, right "asur"?

THE best thing dems could do right now for their political health as well as the health of the entier nation would be to expand medicare to everyone and be done with it. Or at least enact the public option. Let the chips fall where they will.

Seems bold and inciteful, outrageous right? Exactly like invading Iraq was, only this is for a good and decent cause. We own the GOP one. Outrage for outrage and the playing field will be levelled again. The people don't want compromise in their leaders in time of war, they want bold and decisive leadership even if it flies in the face of what they think they know to be "right" or "wrong".

So to summarize, if the dems grow a pair on healthcare, that's 90% of the campaigning for next Fall they'll have to do. Kicking ass on the GOP will make them look strong. Voters aren't into labels, their into action figures. Right now the GOP looks stronger because they're standing stubbornly [and fiercely] against their more waffling and weak-looking counterparts. This is the essence of their strategy with shutting down Congress.

Remedy: reconciliation and outrageous legislation that will make the GOP look utterly conquered.

Are you sure reconcilliation would work ? I wouldn't be. Its a great way to lose your seat in moderate districts.

Yep...these bar charts sure can be confusing...LMAO

It would appear {just according to ASUR's own data} the the majority of Americans don't think that the healthcare reforms go far enough to do what 'NEEDS TO BE DONE'...just stating the obvious ;)

When we examine the major poll results, the answer is clear and there
is no confusion for real Americans.

America wants no part of Obama's Healthcare Plan.

The majority of Americans want Obama's plan to be scrapped and thrown out.
61% of U.S. voters say Congress should scrap that crappy plan and start all over again.

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/pub.../healthcare/september_2009/health_care_reform

Any politician that supports this Obama plan should be thrown out of office, regardless of party!

Once again from your very own 'LINK'...Regarding the current Health care reform issue:
The Political Class, as is generally the case, doesn’t see eye-to-eye with Mainstream voters on the issue. While 75% of Mainstream voters oppose the plan, 87% of the Political Class favors it.
Eighty-five percent (85%) of the Political Class say it’s better to build on the current plan, but 74% of Mainstream voters say Congress should start all over again.
Eighty-two percent (82%) of the Political Class say Congress should pass health care reform before the midterm elections. Sixty-eight percent (68%) of Mainstream voters want to wait until after voters select a new Congress in November.
Now, exactly what 'REAL AMERICANS' were you referring to

ASPCA - The Political Class above are a tiny minority of liberals. Can you read?

From the article:

Only four percent (4%) now support the Political Class. These voters tend to trust political leaders more than the public at large and are far less skeptical about government.

Even democrats are against his plan, otherwise it would have passed by now!

Everyone knows it's a bad plan, except Obama.
