"Do you think mutual distrust is the major obstacle for the bilateral relations between China and India?"

China and India, two Asian powers that cannot be neglected, should have been in healthy and interactive bilateral relations, not only in regional problems, but also in global political and economic issues. China and India are two major development countries and should have been good partners in many fields, but the reality is that there still exist many obstacles that prevent such friendly relationship.
Some argues that the border disputes, the Tibet issue, the biased reports of media worsen the cooperation between the two Asian giants. However, some people believe that it is the mutual distrust that seriously blocks the development of the bilateral relations. Therefore, as the 60th anniversary of China and India establishing official diplomacy relations is approaching, and now Global Times with Defence India Forum(DIF) would like to hold a debate on this topic: Do you think that mutual distrust is the major obstacle for the bilateral relations between China and India .

I thought the question was going to about the mutual distrust between liberals and conservatives. If these factions can't even get along in our own country, what are the chances that two culturally different and competing nations can manage it?

China and India are two emerging tigers in the world economy.A good bilateral relations between China and India helps both countries and other Asian country to continue their development .China and India have border problems. They have to solve this problem for stable relationship.Otherwise a third party like USA motive both sides to engage a war.
