Folly in Nigeria

other fascists got their first

The Italian invasion of Libya occurred in 1911, when Italian troops invaded the Ottoman province of Libya (then part of the Ottoman Empire) and started the Italo-Turkish War.[1] As result, Italian Tripolitania and Italian Cyrenaica were established, later unified to form the colony of Italian Libya.
The 1911 invasion of Libya must not have solved some problems Obama thought needed to be solved with his unilateral attack on the sovereign nation in 2011 which ultimately led to the arming of Muslim Brotherhood fighters in the Middle East and to Hillary's Benghazi fiasco a year later.

Written as if obama and frump were not two wings of the odious WarParty clique in permanent control of the US military and federal bureaucracy.

It must be so easy to blame the other wing if you are a slavish lickspittle of one wing or another, while the fact is that both wings
are a collection of war criminals and well-bribed recipients of largesse willingly accepted from the military, health, finance, tech and lobbies.

Thus responsibility for these heinous actions is well avoided.

As is now a daily occurrence, the useless frump opens his rancid mouth and a stream of lies pours forth

"The claim that a “Christian genocide” is unfolding in Nigeria is a hoax, no different in substance from Washington’s claims about “narco-terrorism” in Venezuela or “white genocide” in South Africa.

Data from the Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project (ACLED), an independent and widely cited violence monitor, directly contradicts this narrative. ACLED records show that Islamist and other armed groups operating in northern Nigeria have attacked both churches and mosques, and have killed both Christians and Muslims. These attacks are not driven by religious hatred but by the brutal social crisis produced by decades of imperialist looting, state corruption, and militarization.

Nigeria’s population of roughly 220 million is nearly evenly divided between Christians and Muslims, with Muslims forming a majority in the north. While ACLED data indicates that attacks on churches have increased over the last six years, it also shows that mosques were attacked more frequently than churches in 2015 and 2017. The victims of armed violence in Nigeria are not a single religious group, but working people of all faiths and ethnicities.

The current hoax gained momentum in September when pro-Democrat television host Bill Maher described what was happening in northern Nigeria as a “genocide,” as a way of justifying the US-backed Israeli genocide in Gaza. Referring to the Islamist Boko Haram group, he said “they have killed over 100,000 since 2009, they’ve burned 18,000 churches.” He added, “This is so much more of a genocide attempt than what is going on in Gaza. They are literally attempting to wipe out the Christian population of an entire country.”

This narrative was rapidly seized by the Republican party, with Texas Senator Ted Cruz claiming on X that “over 50,000 Christians” had been massacred.

The essential purpose of this campaign is to assert the White House’s claimed right to fire cruise missiles into any country on the basis of fabricated humanitarian pretexts, and to prepare the expansion of US military operations globally. The assault on Nigeria is part of the Trump administration’s drive to reassert US imperialist dominance over Africa, a continent that holds roughly 30 percent of the world’s proven critical mineral reserves and vast untapped rare earth deposits.

seems the local bishop does not agree with the frump bullshit

After the U.S. military launched airstrikes on sites in northwestern Nigeria on Thursday, President Trump said the targets were Islamic State terrorists “who have been targeting and viciously killing, primarily, innocent Christians.”

But analysts say that the situation on the ground is far more complicated.

Sokoto State, which was hit by more than 12 Tomahawk missiles Thursday night, is populated overwhelmingly by Muslims, who bear the brunt of terrorist attacks there, according to analysts and groups that monitor conflict.

Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah of Sokoto said recently that the area does “not have a problem with persecution” of Christians.

And analysts are divided over the existence of ties between insurgent groups in Sokoto and the Islamic State.

Some analysts say that the violent attackers in Sokoto, which are colloquially known as the Lakurawa, have links to the Islamic State’s Sahel Province branch, which is mostly farther north and west, in Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso.

But other analysts say evidence of those links is inconclusive, as the identity of the Lakurawa group remains very murky. Its militants have operated in Sokoto and other Nigerian states for years, winning popularity by fighting local bandits at first and then turning on the rural population.
“There’s a lot of fluidity and not a lot of ideological alliances,” Alkasim Abdulkadir, a spokesman for Nigeria’s foreign minister, Yusuf Tuggar, said of the Lakurawa.

Even as the Nigerian authorities have disputed Mr. Trump’s claims about a Christian “genocide,” they have chosen to respond to his threats by cooperating with his administration. Nigeria has taken the opportunity to use U.S. firepower against insurgents that have plagued rural communities in the country’s northwest.

The Nigerian government made it clear on Friday that it was on board with the airstrikes, which came after a phone call between Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Mr. Tuggar “around bilateral issues and military cooperation,” according to Mr. Abdulkadir.

it would not be possible for a nigerian politician to accept a bribe would it ?
