Democratic Senator Tim Kaine from Virginia, in a hearing on Wednesday, told the room:

Senator Kaine didn’t misspeak; he simply revealed the chasm between today’s Democratic Party and the very principles that founded this great nation. If believing rights come from a higher power is “troubling,” then Kaine’s quarrel isn’t with Ted Cruz. It’s with Jefferson, Madison, the Declaration, and America herself.

I remind you again, it was NOT the constitution. Your reference is the declaration of independence.

The only mention of religion is the govt are forbidden to form a religion for the country and the first amendment allows you to practice any religion unhindered.

There is no mention of anything in the constitution about a god or god given rights or laws.

Claiming God and Christianity had no part in the formation of the U.S. Constitution and the God Bless American system of freedom and justice is simply a blatant lie.
 
The appropriate term is natural law.


Regardless of your religious beliefs our rights are something we are born with. Not something given to us by our government and not something the government can take away.

The views of Tim Kaine are dangerous and totalitarian.
