Egypt court upholds 4-year sentence for blogger

CAIRO (Reuters) - An Egyptian court confirmed the four-year jail sentence imposed on an Egyptian student blogger for posting writings critical of Islam and the government, the state news agency MENA said.

It's hard to imagine, really, sitting in our living rooms and freely expressing ourselves on a world wide forum. Are we willing to pay the price for liberty, which is eternal vigilance?

We are indeed lucky my friend.

People run around talking about watering the tree of liberty with the blood of their own countrymen. They wave tea bags, carry guns to political events and pray for harm or even death to come to our legally, duly, freely elected President of the United States of American.

Yes we are indeed lucky our radicals are such a small minority of Americans. But there are still some very scary and mentally unhinged people out there right here in America.

you mean where he gave him what he asked for basicly? yea it was harsh...

should have been like W, and ignored it

another Obama lie that was put to rest.

he gave three options, one to win, one to probably win and one to lose. all of which needed to be implemented soon. obama dithered and settled on the middle with offsetting provisions not part of McCrystal's plan and a year late in implementation.

if you realy on HuffPo for your news you will be badly misinformed.
