Getting back to the point of the thread, or at least the title, I think the conservative movement is in real trouble. Look at the major issues confronting us: global warming, health care, terrorism, globalization, immegration. These all require innovative and collective responses of a strong state, not the individual actions of a loose confederation of self-governing entities that the conservatives apparently pine for.Here's an excellent article giving examples of how corporate America is beginning to wake up and smell the coffee--and it doesn't smell like conservativism.http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/features/2007/0706.hayes.html
