Health Care Reform

Re: "conservatives"; Quit Your WHINING About Health-Care!

Obama is pushing something similar but worse than what has failed in Canada?

Proponents of single payer health care systems or universal health care systems or whatever euphemism they are using these days will tell you that this is the only way to get everyone covered. But, Claude Castonguay, known as “the father of Quebec medicare,” says it’s a failure in Canada:

“We thought we could resolve the system’s problems by rationing services or injecting massive amounts of new money into it,” says Castonguay. But now he prescribes a radical overhaul: “We are proposing to give a greater role to the private sector so that people can exercise freedom of choice.”

Castonguay advocates contracting out services to the private sector, going so far as suggesting that public hospitals rent space during off-hours to entrepreneurial doctors. He supports co-pays for patients who want to see physicians. Castonguay, the man who championed public health insurance in Canada, now urges for the legalization of private health insurance.

This long coveted legislation has little to do with money or health care, and more to do with creating another socio-political "third rail" that will perpetually favor fear peddling Democrats. The very first Democrat campaign ad, perhaps 3, 5 or 7 years from now, proclaiming "If you vote for them, they're gonna cut your health care entitlement" will prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Democrats, firmly ensconced in power with UHC as leverage, will be one more step in their "means to an end" strategy for the incrementally attained, collectivist society they seek.

In other words, you're afraid people will like UHC. That's a good argument in favor of it.

fear peddling Democrats.

You couldn't possibly have had a straight face when you said that right? (I'll bet even your fingers were laughing as you typed that whopper!)

Private insurance is illegal in Canada?
Funny...down here....all insurance is private, & run like the organized crime that it is...... & it should be illegal! Let's switch!

I did with #119. My friend, I am a semi professional poker player, and I know what your next move is before you do.

It is already apparent that you're getting circular and deflective with your arguments....something I've become quite accustom to with you, and I had mentally predicted.

A simple "well, your right, I can't really tell you guys to shut up and quit complaining, when that's all I did when Bush was in office" will suffice, and no further embarrassment will be delivered to your doorstep.

Re: "conservatives"; Quit Your WHINING About Health-Care!

It's going to be fun to watch the Obama folk get voted
out in 2010 and 2012 over his Healthcare Plan.

Obama has even threatened those dems who fail to vote for his crap plan.

I not sure America will wait till 2012 either as 30% of doctors
are threatening to quit the profession if it passes.

Only the folks getting it subsidized or free. The rest of us will still be paying for our private HC insurance, in addition to an increase in taxes that always comes with entitlement legislation...

That's ok with you, though, right?

Re: "conservatives"; Quit Your WHINING About Health-Care!

You see what has happened to California where 25% of welfare recipients are
illegal immigrants.

This is just more of the same and will increase debt and well as kill taxpaying
legal citizens.

In case you missed my earlier question about the Tenn. governor:
Your link relates to comments made well over a year ago. Have anything about what he says now?

If you watched/listened to anything other then the left wing media you would know that Idaho's governor signed into law today a measure preventing the fed plan from affecting Idaho, and 37 other States are proposing to do the same thing.

Looks like the State legislators have more balls then the federal legislators, and are going to start taking back States rights as guaranteed under the Constitution in Article 10 of the Bill of Rights.

Of course, those States controlled by left wing ideologues will willingly go along with this usurption of those rights.
