Why should the US attack Iran when Israel is more than capable of doing the job? We should support their attack with intel, but refrain from any hard actions. Let Israel do the job just as they did the job against Iraq back in the 80s. Most of the nations of the gulf are afraid of a nuclear Iran. They know the kooks running the Iranian government want an empire. Those nations will not support an Israeli attack, but it seems unlikely they will try to stop it or escalate events after the attack. The Iranian military is a paper tiger. They are completely outclassed by the technology and hardware we and the Israelis have. Their only strength is their army and it is highly unlikely we will fight them in a ground campaign.
