Jim Beam, the country’s largest maker of bourbon, has announced a one-year pause in production at its flagship facility in Clermont, Kentucky.

In January, Brown-Forman, the maker of whiskeys like Jack Daniel’s and Old Forester, announced it was laying off about 650 employees, or 12% of its workforce, in the face of declining demand. In September Diageo paused distillation at its Cascade Hollow facility in Tullahoma, Tennessee.

And over the last year several large whiskey companies have gone into receivership, including the Garrard County Distilling Co. in Kentucky and Uncle Nearest in Tennessee.

Thank God for good news.

How is this "Good News"? What has actually happened here is that Trump imposed unfair tariffs on Canada and even said that he wanted to annex Canada, which 99.99% of Canadians oppose, and in return, Canada stopped importin Bourbon from the US. Most likely, Canadians will not be drinking less, they will be drinking their own Canadian whiskey, or perhaps whiskeys from Scotland or Japan.

The end result is that Shitshizpants has taken away the jobs of American distillery workers. We aren't entering any Golden Age, we are simply shrinking our economy because the leader is an ignorant buffoon.

Democrats do hate it when sex workers, harmful substance-abuse suppliers, election crooks, government program funding fraudsters and other democrat workers and businesses are shut down.

I think that all the people losing their jobs at Jack Daniels hate it even more. I don't drink whiskey, I don't even like whiskey, but it is a legal business and certainly not all people who drink Jack Daniels are alcoholics, and the Canadians that used to drink it will surely not all become teetotalers because of Shitshizpants' stupid tariffs.

Canadians are NOT my enemies, nor are they enemies of our country. Trade policies before Shitshizpants between the USA and Canada were NOT unfair.
