I wonder why the Israeli and US governments continue to lie about the attack on the USS Liberty in 1967 ? Why all the secrecy? The crew on board all testified that the Israelis had to know who they were attacking.

I have often wondered this myself, I dont have a good reasonable answer. I have never heard if the Israelis payed out compensation for at the very least the damage that was done to the ship, not to mention the sailors killed and wounded, IIRC ther were over 30 dead from the incident and many more wounded.
I will say that the crew on the Liberty did a heroic job of saving thier ship in the face of some serious adversity.
