Pretending there was no such thing as extremist muslims made us look stupid.

Lets see. He is banning those who have green cards, are employed by American companies, those who have worked for the military as interpreters, those who have spent 2 years being vetted by 5 different agencies, those with dual citizenships, simply for being Muslim, and then gives priority to christians, and other minority religions, from the same regions.

I’m posting this because there is a notion being peddled by those who prefer wide open borders to the safety of everyday Americans to pretend that Green Card holders should be, ipso facto, utterly free of vetting on return if they leave the US.

Anybody with half a brain and a shred of honest would, or should, understand that those who mean to harm us are not rendered harmless simply because they hold a US Green Card.

Trying to pretend otherwise is dangerous, verging toward suicidal, on the part of those who ostensibly are supposed to be protecting us.

I think your claim that anyone, save for a few radical left wingers, want a completely open border. The viewpoint of most is that a wall has never worked, not even in China. To think otherwise only shows ones own ignorance. Walls can be climbed over, dug under, or walked around. Most who are opposed to the wall as being an unnecessary expense prefer other ways of monitoring the border such as more drones, more agents, or even putting the military on the border.

The complaint, if you had paid attention, is that it is not just green card holders that are are being held back for further vetting. People that have worked for the Government, and received visa's, are being sent back. 90 year old women are being held back. 4 year old children are being held back.

Trying to pretend otherwise is as stupid as pretending Trump will do anything good for the country.

Excellent point, but this particular action is dealing with halting new jihadis. Your example and many others point to the need of jihadis vacationing.

The only "new Jihadis" are coming from the countries Trump did not ban, and from the US itself. Maybe he should shut down the 30+ Jihadi training camps that have been allowed to exist within the US for the past 30+ years.

It is very had to see what American Christian terrorists have in common. Some the Army of God are just against abortion. Others like the Oklahoma bombers have other causes. But all are sects not authorized by a main church.,The details of the Waco events are difficult to follow now. They appear to grow because people did not understand the motives. AS in Melbourne the police did not stop them at first because they underestimated their intentions .We will have to wait to the trial to understand the Melbourne Killings.
In the meantme banning Muslims will not make us safer WE need more control over all would be terrorist not matter what their motives, Even if insane.

Interesting article and reflects exactly what is happening in the inner-cities here in the UK. Muslim communities here are assisting the authorities and "policing" their own communities for exactly the reason that they do not want to be targetted and alienated by the rest of society. They live here.... its their home.

There are countries that the Jihadists can go to and get a passport with no problem. This is from 2015, however, I do believe it is still viable:

How many have relocated to Europe and elsewhere without benefit of passports. Millions I hear.
Ergo the reason you have to halt things until such time as you can evaluate these people.
